what do you do with the things around your house that are no longer useful?

like for example that cute table you bought way back when it was still "in" and which is now so totally "out"? or how about clothes that you've "outgrown" but are still serviceable? and that still working component that has been replaced by a newer model?

I actually have a lot of useless stuff and clothes that I have outgrown. Usually I put it out when my parents have yard sales otherwise I take it the good will or salvation army. Good Will and the Salvation Army are both really good causes and I enjoy helping out.

how i wish we have organizations like that here. or, maybe we have but i'm not just aware of their existence. anyway, we have what we call "ukay-ukay" here. they're actually second hand clothes that are donated by some US citizens and are sold here at $.50-1.00 per piece. some sell them for much higher if they're in good enough condition. you'll be surprised to see very poor people here wearing branded clothes. they get these from the "Ukay-ukay".

I give anything and everything either to friends of the charity shop, there's even a furnichurch nearby when they collect your old furniture and people who need it give a donation towards the storage rental and delivery.

that's a very nice way of disposing what you don't need anymore. as they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure. i believe you are so blessed!
