This is a fantastic book from Max Lucado, one of my favorite Christian authors. Anyone read it? It's about finding peace with God in the midst of the storms of our life. I highly recommend it if you are going through something tough in your life and just need a pick me up or a reminder that God is still in control.

I have checked to see if they had the book on Bookmooch.com; they have it and hopefully I can get it soon. I never read his works before though I have heard they are very good. Thanks again.

I hope you have had a chance to read it by now. It is such a great read. It was one of those that I had trouble putting down once I started.

I've read several Max Lucado books and they were all great but I haven't read this one. Have to go to town today so am going to make a stop at the book store - I am going through a lot of storms these days. Thank you so much for recommending this book.

Praise the Lord - I got this book today and although I haven't started it I just glanced at the intro and know it's going to be spectacular...Starts out with a bird named Chippie that got sucked up the vacum cleaner, stuck under a fauset to get him clean, then blow dried to dry him off - he survied but afterwards Chippies owner is asked how he's doing and she says he doesn't sing anymore.
Which is understandable after your sucked in, washed up, and blown over - not much to sing about... I can't wait to get into the book tomorrow.

Thanks for the description... I love hearing about books from other people, not just searching for the next thing to read at the library or at a bookstore.

Anything by Max Lucado is a great read. He is such an awesome author. Most of his books, I've sat down and read in one day, because I simply don't want to put them down.

If you will check with your local bible book store, or Christian book store...there are several of his books available on cd and cassette. I'm not sure which ones you would be able to get.
My son hates to read, but he will listen to someone else read it on cd.

This is one of my favorites. I also like 6 hours one Friday. It's just a fantastic look at the 6 hours that Christ was on the Cross.
