What if you saw your neighbor abusing his/her child?

What if one day your child was playing with your neighbor's child and you saw that he/her has bruises and marks all over his/her body. What would first come to your mind? Abusive parents maybe? When you asked the child, he/she said that their parents are abusing them. How would you react? Would you leave this whole thing behind you because your neighbor is one of your best friends? Would you call the police? What would you do at this time?

I would talk to the child and ask where all the brusies come from,could be a health condition,could be clumsy kid,could be abuse.If I suspected abuse then I would call the authories to protect the child.

I wont go talk to the parents,because they can later abuse of him/her again,i would call the police to monitor the situation

I would take the girl/boy to the police station to file a police report then I would make sure that the girl/boy is safe and happy. Friendship is the least important thing to me, when it comes to the well fare of a child.

If the child actually told me that they were being abused, I would definitely call the police regardless of how good of friends the parents were.
