I am quite content being a homemaker. After all i perform multiple role of a chef, a tutor, a counsellor, a baby sitter, a house-keeper, a driver etc.i have gained expertise in so many fields. But we don't work to earn a living. I was never very ambitious, maybe that's the reason i am happy being a homemaker.

it's really satisfying as a homemaker seeing your family grow healthy & in good attitude practice & God fearing . i can agree with you too that maybe i am very happy in this case that i don't earn a living but i do have a great Happy Family because i don't also ask for more than what my husband can only afford . Be contented with a simple living & never aim so high for monetary wealth , just look up for personal achievements we can reach !

It has taken me a while to get use to being a homemaker since I have worked most of my life. Only when we moved to the USA late August 2006, we decided it would be best that I remain at home until my son starts school later this year. I am enjoying it so far, it does have its challenges and I'm actually happy that I don't have to get up early for work. My son loves the fact that I am home with him full-time instead of being taken care of by family members. As long as I get some time to myself during the week and or weekend, then I'm happy with that.
