Should Assisted Suicide be legal everywhere?

Assisted suicide and euthanasia ARE NOT the same. Assisted Suicide is when a person whom is suffering from a terminal illness who is incabable of committing suicide themselves, seeks the help of another individual to help them. Euthanasia is when a person makes a decision to kill a person with a terminal illness whom they THINK is suffering and cannot make the decision for themself.(they take the life of someone without that persons consent). IS ASSISTED SUICIDE OK? AND SHOULD IT BE LEGAL EVERYWHERE? ...i think so.

Wow! This is a hot topic of discussion. I think it all boils down to the severity of the person in general, and whether that person has the mental capcity to make reasonable decisions on their own, then I don't think It should be illigal. However; if the person cannot make reasonable concern or cannot think straight, then I think it would take a party of people just like a jury for example to come up with relative case 1. Keep the person alive, 2. Assist the individual.

thanks for the comment! i agree with you in some ways, however if the individual is unable to make the decision as to what they want to do, i think it is totally unresonable for someone else to make that decision for them.If they cant communicate, you do NOT know if they are happy living. Take Tracy Latimer for example she had cerebal palsy really badly could not talk, could not communicate in any way really. Her dad choose to kill her because he thought she was suffering. He did not know if she was or wasnt.Yes she probably had a hard life, but it was all she ever knew, she probably enjoyed her life. But ya, its a very hot topic of discussion cause lots of people have lots of different opinions on the issue.

i dont think so. i cant bare to think what it might be like to know that your family is making the decision to kill you. what if you dont want to die what if your happy you just have no way of showing. i think theres to many "what ifs"

Now thats something I think where a jury of people should decide whether or not to pull the plug... I think it should be in the hands of a jury, and the jury should be a selection of medical professionals. what do you think???

This is a tough call. I think only if the person has a terminal disease it should be legal, but not everyone should assist, I mean only people like doctors or registered nurses should help this person go through this. Well, if someone who doesn't really know how to handle this situation tries to help then the terminal patient could end up worse than how he/she was before. Well, that's my point of view!
