death

Some people say "death is only the beginning". I wouldn't mind if it was really that way. I mean, if I could watch over a certain someone after I've bitten the dust, lovely thought. Then, when her time would come I would simply catch her and bring her to the "other side". What that is? Hard to say, maybe some sort of "paradise", or "heaven" or maybe even reincarnation on a different planet as a different lifeform? I don't know. Is death the end? What kind of end? The end of the physical body? Certainly. But what about the "soul", or "spirit" or whatever else you want to call it. Though, does that "souls" really exist? Or is it really just a larger electric pulse sitting in my nervous system? Then again, there is one thing that always crosses my mind: In the universe things work with a certain "purpose". Nature doesn't waste things. So, if our whole existence ends with death, why did we even evolve to what we are? That would be quite a waste of time, energy and other resources for "nature". Why would nature bring out someone like Mozart when everything he ever created would definitely disappear one day (once the sun litereally touches earth's skies all the stuff on earth WILL be gone)? Why would nature create a certain someone when everything connected to her, her personality, her smile, her laughter, etc, would just disappear without a trace? Such creations would be rather pointless. The universe could work easier without it.

You have raised some very good points there, I believe we have something to look forward to after our experience here, but I don't think we can comprehend what it is so we have to wait and see, something to look forward to.

If you look back at the history of the world, so many things have happened. Life is really bizarre. Everything that "was"is gone. Everything that "is" will one day be gone. Who are we creating all this history for? Everyone will eventually die anyway. That being said, I often have had the feeling that we are not alone. That indeed, we are being watched over from the spirit world. Some people have a name for them. Guardian Angels....

The meaning of life is just to live and survive. It is not pointless, we all have a story to tell.

What the heck? How is that the beginning? I mean it could be the beginning of the life after life. But then when exactly would be the ending? You're absolutely right. The universe could work easier without rather pointless creations.

I do not believe things die. As long as someone is remembered, they do not die. The body fails, but the energy and soul lives on in thoughts and spirits. And maybe possible to live on in knowledge as in reincarnated.
