As I've indicated with my photo, I've just bought myself a really nice present. :) My new MacBook. Still taking a bit of getting used to, as I've been a PC user all my life. All I know is that Macs don't get as much bugs as the PCs, and that Macs are hell of a lot cuter. What do you guys think?

I moved the other direction. After having Apples and Macs for years and years, I finally got a Dell PC. You are right that the Macs don't get viruses at often, but I changed because I was having trouble opening some files that came from PC users, and because Apple software was much more expensive at the time than PC software was. Now, you can buy some software that will work on either Mac or PC. Good luck with your new MacBook.

You know, that's true. Just today my friend made a movie from some snaps that we took last night, and when she sent it to me via bluetooth, I got it, no problem. Thing was, I couldn't open it because it was a .wmv file! Do you think there'd be some way for me to get a program that will help me open such files?

There is a program that changes Mac Files to PC files but you sometimes lose some of the formatting. I don't have the program any more so I don't remember what it was called. Something like MacXChange. It was kind of slow. You could probably find a similar one for exchanging files the other direction at a local software outlet. Another way to transfer them is to open a file, copy it into an e-mail, and then send it to yourself. Open it on your other computer and most files can then be copied and pasted to your desktop. I also understand that there is a program out there that you can use and set up two computers in the same room, hook up the program, or cable, or whatever it is that they use, and stuff is transferred really fast. I'm not sure if there is one available for PC to Mac transfer, but it wouldn't hurt to look into it. Transferring old files take forever. Good luck.
