Responding to Discussions?

Do you try to respond to as many discussions as possible to ensure maximum earnings or do you only respond to topics that you know you can give a meaningful answer to? I myself like to answer to the ones that interest me or catch my attention in some way, but I have seen reply's on my disussions where they have been about 2-3 words long and you know they are doing it just to build earnings or just reach that magic number of 100.

I can't understand why people post a couple of words or one line in response to a discussion as I am sure they do not get paid for it. I have also seen people who are complaining about how their earnings are dropping and I am sure it is because of their responses. I never respond to topics unless I can post a quality response and as I have the gift of the gab (I talk to much) I am inclined to get carried away with my responses and go on forever...like I am now...lol. Numbers or earnings don't really interest me, I am here for the fun of it and I am enjoying every minute.

It was the earnings that attracted me to this but I have to say after a couple of days I was hooked, My self and a good friend of mine are on quite alot now. Sometimes i wont even amke any posts, i find it good fun just to read some of the discussions that are maybe a bit fiery and to read peoples reactions. It can be funny because you can actually see people getting angrier by the ammount of spelling mistakes they make as they progress in their comment. I myself am very guilty of it as my friend has pointed out to me.

I only respond to discussions that interest me or are about something that I am knowledgeable on. I also try to respond to as many of my friends discussions as possible, but if they are talking about something that Idon't know about then I'll skip it.

I respond to most topics, but only because I'm interested in a lot of things. I normally stay away from topics about children or sports though :-) What's the magic number 100?

The magic number 100 is where you are given your first star rating. I was all excited when I got an 9 but was deflated when it went to an 8 after a couple of touchy discussions about religious beliefs. lol

LOL, yeah the problem is that when some people don't agree with you they give you negative rating, really annying.

If they cannot handle anyone else's opinion then they shouldn't ask for them. lol

I respond to discussions that interest me, and catch my eye. Not only because I have a better idea when responding, but because you get a better chance of having someone rate your post positively (or negatively, even, if they don't like it..) I don't do it strictly for the money, I like to post nice long, well thought out responses, for the purpose of answering a topic, but for a chance at a few extra cents! :o)

I also only respond to things that interest me and which I think I can give a good reply on. I find it very frustrating when some people just give a nonsense question or an answer that has nothing to do with anything more than getting points.

I much prefer to browse around the forum and look for discussions that interest me. If I was to respond to anything that was available I feel that the responses would be of little value to anyone, and it would not hold much interest for me either. It would be nice to earn more than I currently do, but not at the cost of spoiling my time at Mylot.

I feel the same as you, responding to anything takes away the value of what I have say or even the value of the discussion.

Your discussion is good, because this will make the users think about the work they do. I mean if they were doing the short cut method to earn money may feel guilty in doing this here onwards. You need a little more time tp express your thoughts in detail but mylot considers your time spent and the sincererity you followed in your work. You get a proportionate earning when you respond in detail is my personal experience. So there is no point in making a hurry and writing in short and incomplete thoughts just to save time and see the number growing in the brases. I can tell you confidently that when you respond in detail with a quality writing you can recieve a best response award atleast once every fifteen responses you write. Finally your earning come to the same as if you would have sent more responses with a little writing, and sometimes even less because of short replies. I shall always love and like to respond in detail as far as possible and that too to the discussions which are worth to write any response, as like your's here. Your discussion will change atleast few users in their behavior in mylot I think. Wish you all the best.

Yes I do try to respond to as many discussions I can to ensure my maximum earnings and also I love to respond to my friends to help them with their earnings as well, but the ones that I respond to have to be of interest to me otherwise it is pretty difficult to respond to them. Oh yes I know exactly what you mean when some people just respond with one or two words no I do not like to respond like this but also some people give discussions with only one or up to three lines I will not respond to these either.

Well what really is inviting to me is the earnings that we can get, thats the best come on. But i like to respond to discussions that i can relate to and is interesting for me. In that way you can earn and have fun. I am almost two weeks here and i earn only 58 cents, and the reason for this is that i could spend much time on the internet cause i work and we dont have internet in the office. The internet too in my case is hook up, so the pace is slow.

First I was for money. Second, I have to say I am very curious. Third, I found it is interesting to read and post, especially when there is beautiful beautiful sayings, touching stories, lovely characters, and laughters. I sometimes want to talk but may hardly find anyone to speak to. Then I come up here and search for the topics, post my opinions on the exact question about my talk. It is fun and enjoyable. At the same time, I might also practice my typing. :)

i definetly only respond to the ones that i can give an actual answer to because if you just sit here responding to get numbers and money i know i would just get bored and not bother, thats why i dont post as much anymore actually because i find it harder to find topics that i really want to respond to and i refuse to just give a response. So i just do a few responses and i dont make as much money as i was here but at least im enjoying the time i spend on the site now because its not worth it for a few cents if your not having fun, on the other hand if you are having fun then its great that someones willing to pay you a little bit to do it

there are some discussions upon which i may only comment 'i don't know' but this doesn't mean i respond to those discussions to type these words. one may increase the number of posts but will violate the guidelines set by mylot. but you can't force people to do that..you can only suggest them not to respond to discussions which is of no interest to them or where they can't contribute in helping out mylot users. i ususally respond to interesting topics and where i think i need to help the mylot user more, i do a reseach work too and provide helpful links.

I only respond to discussions that interest me or I know something about! If it is about video games or something I wouldn't answer because i never play them and don't know anything about them...so if it is something I am interested in or know something about I would respond.

I respond only to discussions I can contribute intelligently to. What use would people have for my "I think so, too" and "Perhaps, not"? Still, you'll have to forgive me for asking this very dumb question, but why is 100 a magic number?
