Does women really need reservations

It was womens day on March 8th.All women in this world celebrated this day as birth day of women.And some of them among women raised about the topic "Reservation for women".I was surprised and thought why do women need reservation?I really dont understand why should women ask for reservations?are women physically handicapped or they belong to backward classes.They straight answer is NO.Women toay is financially independent.And she dont need any one support insted she can lead her life independently and stand in society with complete dare to face any situation and win the situation too.And i say it is completely useless for someone to fight for women reservation. What's your opinion????
