HOW do YOU...

select discussions to respond to ? me ? i usually start with "discussions my friends started" as im always eager to see what they have on their mind or if they need any help or advice in any area of life... then i go to "recent discussions" as i like to see new discussions as my response is more likely to receive a comment from the user who started the discussion or any users that are responding to the discussions.. i always like to see comments on my repsonse .. it makes me feel like im part of a real DISCUSSION rather than a simple QUESTION & ANSWER... thirdly i go to the discussions below the current discussion that im in if it catches my eye... HOW ABOUT YOU ??

Usually, people choose discussions based on 2 main factors - content and relationship. Content - what you are discussing must be of interest to them. At the lease, there must be something that can be said. If you ask me how to whip up a dish of xxx, I would have no clues and it's highly likely you won't find me there. :P Relationship - are you on the friend list? More importantly, how often do you respond to my discussions. You may be on my friend list but if you haven't never or seldom responded to my discussions, I am not going to remember you as a friend. And only a friend that is recognised will get the benefit of my time and effort. Above these 2, there is an underlying factor of time. How much time do I have to spend at myLot? This will decide who get answered and how soon. ;-)

I only responsd to the discussion which i think i would be able to give the best response. I also respond to my friends discussions most of the times. Yes comments are good to see on your discussions and responses. and more responses you have the more options are there for you if you are looking for some answer for some problem.

I also start with the discussions that my friends have started - usually because I can find alot interesting there. then I take a look at the top, and then discussions with no answers, then I just surf around, might do a search and also might see what my friends have replied to!

Yeah I always go to my friends first then I go back to see what they said about my response and then I go to new posts or I go to my site the look for people that have responded to my posts to reply to something that they posted.

i start posting comments to discussions posted by my friends that pop-up in my e-mail inbox. just like what im doing right now with your recent topic. then, i proceed to one of my interests, foremost of which is discussions posted by my friends in my friends list and then browse for some other spontaneous interesting topics...

Everyday, I start MyLot by first checking the discussions I've started, so that I could make a comment to the replies I've received in my discussions. Then I check the discussion I've responded to, to see if the owner of of the discussion had replied to my answer. I always try to see that I am the last one who answered in my reply. Then I check the discussions my friends started, to see if there are new discussions that I could relate and answer it. Then I check my best responses so that I could thank the person for choosing my response as the best response. Then at random, I check the other discussions and see what topics I could reply. But while on the process of answering discussions, If there's a topic that pops out on my mind. I create this discussion.

I also tend to start with the discusions my friends started. This way I can try to answer their discussions before I start doing something else on mylot and end up forgetting. After that I tend to go to new discussions and recent discussions. Sometimes i get a bit sidetracked but usually it works well like that.

I almost always start with "discussions my friends started." I do my best to answer the ones I feel comfortable answering. If I don't like a question or just cannot think about it, I move on to the next. I usually try and answer the first page of my friend’s discussions. Then I move in the New Discussions. I usually bounce back and forth between the 2. I don’t like the recent and popular discussions. I feel sometimes my responses get lost in those.

Like you I try to see what my friends have started, and then I go to topics started by newcomers or new topics. I being a newcomer knows how it feels not to feel what I am thinking is worthy of a comment. If I like what I read then I will comment. But, if it someone who is putting a couple of lines down not making much sense your out of luck. This is a learning process, and try to read the rules. But, others with experience know more, and hopefuly I can ask a question, and not feel stupid. Like the + and - things. I think I am learning you can do this to anyone not just to the person who started the discussion.

I usually start with discussions from my interests. Then I wander through current discussions. Sometimes I search for specific topics if there is something I've been thinking about.

I usually go for the ones that sound interesting and worthy to answer to. When their isn't a worthy one I just pcik one. Either way I'm still getting paid. So it don't matter to me.

When i plan on getting on mylot, i start with my emails that i have gotten from mylot. That way i can see if any of my friends have started a new discussion. And then i also check and see if anyone has replied to any of my discussions. Then i go to my interest, and i will stay there for a while. Then i'll go to discussions with no response.
