The world’s most expensive chocolate brownie is now on the menu at the Brulee: The Dessert Experience in the Tropicana Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. This item featured on the dessert restaurant’s Crystal Menu features a dark chocolate brownie topped with Italian hazelnuts and served with ice cream, as well as a St. Louis crystal atomizer filled with a shot of expensive and rare port wine. The brownie is quite tame for such an expensive dessert menu item, however the crystal atomizer and the port wine served with it are extravagantly over-the-top. The wine is a rare 1996 Quinta do Noval Nacional port wine produced from a section of their Portuguese vineyards with ungrafted vines. The St. Louis crystal atomizer normally used for dispensing perfume holds the shot of port wine is meant to be used to spray a fine mist of the wine throughout your mouth in between each bite you take. The atomizer is yours for the taking, a $750 value, after you are finished eating the most expensive chocolate brownie in the world. The Brownie Extraordinaire with Saint Louis as it’s listed on the menu is offered as part of a $15,000 Valentine’s Day marriage proposal package from the Tropicana. The package includes a romantic dinner for two, hotel accommodations, the Brownie Extraordinaire at Brulee, a dinner for six to celebrate when she says “Yes!”, and a diamond engagement ring to present to your soon to be fiancee when you pop the question. Brulee offers their most expensive brownie as a dessert year round even if you aren’t interested in the Tropicana’s Deluxe Proposal package - at the most expensive price tag of $1,000! http://most-expensive.net/chocolate-brownie

I would love to try a $1000 brownie just to say that I did but I sure as heck wouldn't spend that kind of money on it. I would also be more interested in tasting the port that is served with it but also wouldn't be willing to drop that kind of money on it. I can think of so many other things to spend $1000 on. Especially in Atlantic City.

That's right. At least I would have a chance at turning the $1000 into something positive.

no matter how delicious that brownie is as promised, i will never try it. unless someone wanted to treat me to it, i'll gladly have it and taste it little by little. a thousand dollars is so much for me. here in the philippines, a thousand dollars is almost a salary of mine for 8 months. so, it's better not to buy that brownie myself! it will just be so meaningless for me. there are much things that are more important in life than just that expensive brownie.

Is it loaded or something? There is no way I'd ever WASTE that kind of money on any food! I can buy a package of brownie mix for a dollar, add an egg and oil and have enough to share with my family and friends.... for $1,000 I could feed MANY needy families! Being that your question was: " Would you try the most expensive chocolate brownie for $1000???" Sure, why not?! That is, for free!

I will because we only live once. Might as well experience everything...and I will if only I have THAT extra money.

It sounds yummy, but I don't think that there is any way I could ever spend a thousand dollars on a single meal, let a lone just one dessert! I don't mind splurging on the occasional special meal, but for the most part, I would rather spend my money on other things. Maybe I have an unrefined palate, but a $3 brownie makes me happy enough!

Mine, mine.. I think it sure is expensive for something that melts in your mouth within a minute! If I am really that rich, hey.. what is 1000 bucks? But nah, I don't think I am that rich to splurge it on some silly gimmicks just yet. :P
