There are so many phobias in the world, so many more than I could have imagine, just check out the list yourself at; http://phobialist.com/
So, do you have any phobias?
I have one and it is for coachroaches, I just can´t stand them. i know that they can´t hurt me but i can start crying if I even see one. If I see one on tv I immidiately change channels.
I am also scared of the ocean - this probably goes back to when I almost drowned - or actually i ddi drown and I was not breathing when they pulled me up.
So do you have any phobias? please share them =)

Hey Marie ... coachroaches ?!? What are they ? Or do you mean cockroaches ? The tiny brown fellows that sit around in kitchens and so ...
I am not afraid of them, I just put my foot on them and squeeze. LOL
I've got a phobia though ... I really hate moles... Whenever there is one in my lawn, I just panic and start putting poison and traps all around. I f**ing hate the little black creatures, putting heaps of dirt all over my beautiful garden ...

I have a couple of phobias, the first is the most serious, I am highly allergic to wasps and one sting could potentially kill me, so I dread the Summer time when they are come out. If I see one I have to kill it, I can't rest if one is around. Also I have a phobia about crowds, it makes me feel claustophobic and I avoid them at all costs. That's why I can never go to a concert or a busy high street.

The wasp thing is highly understandable, noone wants to die. I understand the urge of killing them before they kill u..

I have two bad ones. The ocean, as the same thing happened to me. And, worms. I get a panick attack if I see one, heart palps, and cannot breath. I scream, and cannot move. I know it cannot hurt me, but I get sick to my stomach to see them. I will not go outside if it rains if they are there. I look for them in food all the time. It's a nightmare. I will not look at it on tv either.

i am afraid of spiders. i feel i must be the greatest arachnophobic ever. Everyone i know, always tell me: "hey i remembered you today when i saw a spider." the hairy legs , the quick sudden movements, those spidery eyes. gives me the shiver. sometimes i feel that they must be pretty smart, to pick up on my frightened vibes. they just appear suddenly whenever i happen to think of them, not always but sometimes. no kidding. very eerie. i remember we had this community immersion thing in school and i had to live on the mountains..boy were the spiders delighted to have me. i couldnt go to the bathroom without first having someone "sweep" it for me. these spiders, they do so love hiding in bathrooms.

I have a phobia of needles. I actually have started sobbing at the meer sight of one! I also do not like mice. The sound of them gnawing on wood in the middle of the night will wake me from a sound sleep. Gag. They give me the creeps.

I have a phobia of bees. Any kind of bee (bumble bee, wasp, hornet) makes me literally sick to my stomach and queasy. I don't know why; I have never been stung by one in my entire life. I just think that they are creepy and weird insects.
Your phobia of the ocean is certainly understandable, by the way. I don't think that I would ever go near a pool, lake, or ocean if I had almost drowned.

No, I have had problems with all kind of water. In the beginning I was almost afraid of taking a shower. However I now can swim in a pool, but I do not go anywhere where my feet can not touch the ground. The thing with the ocean was that I got caught in a wave =( It was horrible! I think I will create a discussion about this as well =)

Isn't it fascinating to see all of the phobias that exist? I had no phobias growing up and in my 20's or 30's. About 10 years ago I started becoming more and more frightend of height and closed spaces. It is strange how the phobias came on later in life and there was no triggering event for either of them. I had a full-fledged panic attack a few summers ago when we were driving up a narrow little road to a parking area for a hike. I had to get out of the car and walk!
