Should ALCOHOL advertising be allowed on TV?

I recall some years back, laws were passed banning alcohol advertising on TV. However, some time more recently, I guess those laws were changed or repealed? Because I'm seeing more & more alcohol advertising on TV again...even some of the 'hard-stuff'. What's THAT about? Did someone cry foul? SHOULD ALCOHOL PRODUCTS BE ADVERTISED ON TELEVISION?
