Hi friends, I know that there are a lot of people under this category and I am a long lost member of this community of people. I visited a doctor today and consulted him about the treatment for migraine. He asked me to0 get a Blood Test done. I really did not understand the significance of getting a blood test done for a migraine. And then, while he was looking at the report he was more interested in the Haemoglobin part of th report. Then as I had expected himn to he prescribed Migranil which is the only probable medicine that is used agasinst migraine all over th eworld. And then came the funny part. He asked me question that I really don't know how he diagnosed or why he wanted to know about. He asked me, if I had any complexes due to Fear or in other words if I had any Phobias. This has me perplexed since m,orning. In case any one of you has had a similar experience then do let me know. I want to understand the reason for this question. Anybody wha has an answer is requested to post their comments.

this got me curious as well and i did a little research. this is what i found so far: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osmophobia or you can do your own research on Osmophobia itself as it is somehow related to migraine. hope this helps.

Well I read the other's post and checked out the link and it stated that some with migraines get that phobia due to having migraines triggered by odors. In that regard it makes sense. Doing a blood test does make sense to try and rule out possible reasons for the migraines, for example diabetes. Low or high blood sugare can cause them. So he might have been looking for ways to help them besides just perscribing a medication. I'm curious though I never heard of Migranil. That's a new one on me. Must be something in your country and not available here in the states.
