What characteristics would you eradicate from the future generations of humanity?
So let's say the technology for designer babies are here and we are now in the position to literally shape our destiny as a species. What characteristics would you remove from us as a species, what characteristics would you adopt from other species or even create new characteristics.
Remember, your designer babies should be "for the good of mankind" (relatively speaking)

Well I'd certainly get rid of all the crippling diseases/syndromes/ect that so many people are born with. I'd limit heart disease and poor eyesight as well as I could, but those things spawn as much from lifestyle as they do your heredity. As for adding traits... I don't know. There are many that would be useful under certain circumstances but I think adding non-human traits to developing fetuses is a significant step up from simply removing natural defects.
