A lot of things happened on 9/11. It was my dad's birthday. A day of joy, to celebrate the life of a man who is my father. It was a day my nephew will forget for reasons no one quite understands. A young boy who should have always been able to trust his parents. And a day that knocked a nation to it's knees. You have just realized that we aren't invinsible. People do want to hurt us and cause pain just because they don't agree with us. I was at work and remember a co-worker coming to say that she heard a boss saying that a plane had hit one of the towers. We turned the radio on and listened. Stunned that it was really happening. My husband called and was asking what was going on...should we go home...is it that serious? Not really knowing what to do, you stayed and listened and in the days that followed you mourned for the loss of innocent people, and for the loss of our innocence of feeling protected. Years have gone by and many other events have happened...what were you doing that day and how do you feel now?
