Two Foods for Cancer Reduction

Diet plays a huge part in our overall health. Here are two uncommon elements that you should be consuming to help prevent cancer. 1. Dried or fresh rosemary. One tablespoon can stimulate enzymes that break down cancer-causing chemicals, including second-hand smoke and pesticides. 2. Fiber. Eating 20 to 30 grams of fiber a day reduces your risk of cancer. Plant-rich diets have been linked to the reduced risk of colon cancer, though nutrients other than fiber may contribute.

Kathy you are like the most informed person I know. I did know about the benifits of fiber but not about rosemary. Now, how many ways can I use rosemary? I use garlic and pepper on nearly everything, wonder if I could do the same with rosemary:)

I eat lots of fibre through eating fruits every day as well as a rich fibre filled cereal. Learning about rosemary was very helpful thanks, I don't do the cooking but will ask my housemate if he can look out for rosemary in the shops. My mum might gain from this because dad smokes like a chimney and it worries me sick about her passive smoking, I will also suggest this to her, thanks, appreciated.

I cannot stand rosemary in any form, but it's good to know fiber has more than one use. Makes sense to me. I'm always trying to eat more fiber, but do it without taking a supplement. I'd rather do it by eating natural, healthy foods.

Hi kathy!! I include fiber in my daily diet and it helps to eliminates body waste everyday and it keeps my body feeling light and healthy. The rosemary I never take that but I will try because it seems a good piece of advice from you. Thanks for sharing kathy!
