Horatio on CSI Miami really bugs me?

I used to like David Caruso but his acting as Horatio on CSI Miami is really bad. He sounds like he's trying to play a stereotypical smooth talkingfantasy island kind of mystery Mr.Rourke character and he's so RUDE. Does anyone else feel this way? It's getting to the point where I don't think I can watch the show. He's just too smooth to be believable or normal.

Horatio kind of reminds me of Captain Kirk, with the bad acting. I wonder if some of the problem isn't with the writers. Some of the storylines seem to be well done, others seem to be the same thing over and over, like they couldn't come up with anything new. I like the show, but it's hard to watch. I definately prefer the CSI Vegas.

i think he is bad too. i like all the other characters on the show, but when he comes on, i think it is something in his voice, too monotone, yuck, why can't he just be normal. he is good, but even grissom does not talk like that.

I don't watch CSI Miami because he bugs me too much. I don't like the way he talks. What bugs me the most is how he always has his head tilted. I mean, come on man, straighten that neck and look me in the eyes. Oh it just gets to me. I guess I am just too spoiled by Grissom who is the absolute coolest and cannot be replaced.

I have to agree... I can't watch CSI Miami and it's specifically because of Caruso. I just don't like him in the role (or as an actor, in general, most of the time). I guess I got spoiled with Gil Grissom and Horatio just doesn't fill the shoes LOL I'll stick to the original CSI (with or without William Petersen).

I totally agree with that. That's the only reason why I don't like CSI Miami... well, other than the other character, is that kelly or sumthing? I love CSI Las Vegas in particular and start loving CSI new york but no matter how I love CSI series, i can't seem to enjoy CSI miami...the characters bug me. Horatio the sarcastic, smooth-talking guy and the smart blond. i think the choice of actors is just not right for the role/character.

Well I like him as Horation on CSI Miami. I didn't like him on NYPD Blue but on here I think he's very good. I enjoy the character and how the story lines are going. The character is intelligent and blunt which is sometimes just what you need in the head of a force such as this. David Caruso does a great job in playing the character and making him seem believable to me.

Well the lines are not the best but I actually like him in the role. Cheesy yes but it comes out as a caring person which attracts me to watch the series. There are other things in CSI miami that bother me, like the red light that is not filtered - one would think that for that kind of production it would be better - but I still enjoy watching it anyways.

I can totally agree. The side-ways stance he has and the way he delivers his lines is reminiscent of William Shatner only because David Caruso says his lines like every word he says is the climactic scene. He's going to be known for this just like "Captain Kirk" was always remebered for his role on Star Trek. It doesn't keep me from watching the show though it is annoying, but I have Eric Delko and Ryan Wolfe to look at and that balances things out fine :)
