He will be gone for eight months?! help!

hi i have a boyfriend for 4 years now. no break ups and he left for singapore to work as an engineer. For a month of not being with each other i was able to cope up with it and has well adjusted to the situation. The hardest part now is that starting march 23 of this year they will be drilling oil for Shell Corporation for eight months. They will be staying in the middle of the ocean. Unfortunately,there's no signal and their vsatellite is still not functioning. do you have any ideas or me to be busy. to preoccupy myself... everytime I think about it I cry. I totally miss him so much! I will miss him more for eight months of no communication. this has been totally hard for me. Im not used of not being with him. I really miss our days together. thank you for reading.

It's normal to miss someone but life has to keep going on. You need to hang out more with friends or family. You need to get into a hobby that takes up a lot of time, like making a scrapbook of your relationship together. Good luck, the time will pass fast.

I am sorry to hear that you and your boyfriend will be without each other in person and without communication for so long. I know that this has to be hard on both of you very much and am sure he misses you just as much as you miss him. You will just have to keep yourself busy like going for walks, going to the store, spending time with friends and family, watching movies and other things. Try not to spend too much time inside your home otherwise you will be more sadder and more likely to think about him all the time.
