Lots Of Friends Deleted Today

I went through my friends list today to start responding to their discussions one at a time. While I was there I decided to start deleting the ones that had not been active in over 4 weeks. I was shocked to see how many had not been here in over 4 weeks! I started with 500 friends and was only able to to do about 5 pages of friends and I already deleted over 100 for not being active. What good are they if they are inactive? I know these people went over to Dormcheck (http://www.dormcheck.com/register.php?refer=wmg2006 )but it does not make since to me. I went to the same place see, but I also stayed here too. I found out yesterday that the owner of Dormcheck was a MyLot person, but he did not like the way things were run here so he started his own place. I have no problems with Dormcheck or MyLot. I just think two sources of income is a lot better than one. Why would they give up one source of income for another when they could have had both? Do you check and delete your friends for inactivity to the site?

I don't think they will come back after a whole month. I think after 1-3 weeks maybe, but some of mine were 3-4 months. It just surprised me that they would leave this place to go somewhere else, when they could do both.

I keep deleting people from my friends in time to time. Only big number of friends don't make sence, if they are not active or never show up in your discussions. So, I do the same with my friends list.

Good gracious .. how ever do you find time to reply to so many peoples discussions ?? I can only just keep up with a few dozen friends .. heheh !! But now you have made me curious about the folks on my list .. I shall go and have a 'weeding out session' I think ...

The main reason people give up one source of income when they could have had two is that one doesn't pay enough to make it worth your while. If that person spends the same amount of time at his new source as he did at the old one, he may be making quite a bit more money. Quite a few people here have been complaining about payment going down to 1 cent a response. No one really wants to spend several minutes of their time working for 1 cent. I think a lot more people will be leaving if payment doesn't improve.

Hello wmg, mylot is the only forum that I join. I did heard about dormcheck but I don't have that much time anymore. I recently also deleted some friends from my list. They are either inactive for a month now or who didn't bother to respond to my discussions.

You must be having a really big friend's list.I have been here for just about a month. Most of my friends have been regularly logging in with a few exceptions(2) who are on the pending list. I didn't know that piece of information about dormcheck.Someone just asked me about dormcheck. So,now I know the story of it's inception.Yes,I think if someone has to join there they can still keep posting here as long as time isn't a constraint.

Well I can wish all the best to those who have shifted to dormcheck. But i agree one can stay here and also participate there. So why shift? Well till date I have not deleted anyone, may be if they want to take part in mylot once again so I give them a chance to.

A lot of people are deleting friends today :-) I'm wondering how maybe active members myLot got, it sounds like quite a lot of the 77,00+ members are inactice.

Thank you for a good idea, I guess I have also delete some. FE I have one with only one discussion (and one answer to this discussion - me!) I could in no way manage Dormcheck and myLot at the same time, it's good when I make 10 postings on myLot a day...

Interesting that you posted this. I am doing the same thing today. I have some friends who only posted 1-2 times and haven't logged in for 2 months!! I too joined Dormcheck, but stay active here at myLot. It will always be home to me since it was the first such site that I joined! Good luck with your 'housecleaning.'

I say that 4 weeks time isnt enough what if you are gone on holiday etc. I think it is good to have friends as well.

That is a rubbish site. I am an old member when their membership was just few hundreds. There is nothing to discuss and no friends like here. all are stupid posts and answers. earlier they used to update the earnings instantly uniformally whether you write a book or a single word. It is a site for the scammers who are kicked out from this wonderful site.

Yes I agree it is rubbish. I still go there and make a few pennies, but can never get a good conversation going. I did like seeing my money add up instantly. My biggest complaint is I haven't got paid even way after the two weeks.

I do delete them when I have nothing in common with them or if they have not been active. I have some who have been here over a month and still only had a score of 6 or so and I deleted them. It makes it easier to keep up with the friends that I do have. Why would anyone sign up and then not come back??

That is the same question I have. If I sign up somewhere and I am active and I get paid I stay even when I am adding more streams of income. I have over 10 different streams of income and I stay active with them all, plus I work a 40 hour week outside job. It doesn't make sense to me.

I just joined so I say No. I might in a few months. I can't even imagine having over 100 friends or having 100 to delete. I joined Dormcheck but haven't even posted once. I am to busy reading and relying here. Great topic. I gave you a +.

that is really something mind bubbling to me. but as for me i stick to mylot and limit my friends as well, those who are genuine and those whoa re for real and i know mylot has already alot of competitors but nothing beats mylot since they do really pay even a single cent until you get reached the payout. mylot really defines what is darn hardwork here na dit is. you will get 10 dollars through hard work and you will be even be happy just to reached the minimum payout.

I've only got around 70 friends and find it VERY hard to keep up. A couple of days ago I wnet through & deleted a bunch bringing it to this somewhat manageable state. LOL. I can't see having over 50 actually for me personally. It's too hard to keep up with them all. I'll be going through my list again as I keep getting new requests. LOL! Where does the madness end? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

What a good idea...no, in the past ( however short it has been) I have never checked to see who was active or inactive...but then I don't have that many friends on the site and the ones I do have are good ones so far!!! Bur now that you mention it...between coughing fits I may just check it out...Never heard of the other place..but I'm new at all this!!!! Thanks for the tip!!!
