Does your cichlid hide objects in his gravel

We bought a floating food chunk for our cichlid to give him something to play with as he has a very low boredom factor. He took a rabid dislike to it and dragged it down into the furthest corner of the tank and buried it!
Have you had a fish react in this way to something you thought he would enjoy?

Well I have to say he is different anyway, and it does not surprise me one bit that he has done this. If you all think I spoil my Gissi well if you have never seen a spoilt Fish then that is one certainly, lol.
Ok now to your Question, as you know I am not overly Keen on Fixsh so no I haven't ever had one like that, but I have a Dog that certainly lets me know when he doesn't like it, as you well know.

Nemo has now learned how to wreck the light we bought for his tank. He drags the thing down into the gravel then goes mad to have the light put back! It is driving Other Half crazy!
Yes, he is spoilt, but we never dreamed a fish would interact as much as he does. He is related to the pirrhana but behaves more like a dolphin!

Funny you should say that, when we have moved Nemo is getting a new tank . . .
Be careful what you wish for lol.

It is a shame you can not meet him, he has completely rewritten the book of what fish do lol. He is a tyrant and a wrecker. We have to have an external thermometer on the tank because he has wrecked half a dozen. He was furious when we attached it on the outside and spoilt his fun.
