Who is your favorite Superman actor?

Having grown up with George Reeves' Superman on tv, I tend to like him best. The special effects seem kind of cheesy now but in those days they were very realistic. I also like Christopher Reeve, who brought Superman to a whole new generation. Dean Cain and Tom Welling are also very good, but George Reeves remains my favorite.

They are all so good. It's hard to pick really. They all played Superman in different ways. They weren't the same character really. They had similarities of course but each made them their own character. Christopher Reeve though was incredible in the role and he really brought him to a whole new level. The movies showed not only the superhero but also the man inside and that was a first for in the acting ones. I like all of them but when I picture Superman I have a tendency to picture him.

I really liked Dean Cain, but the real reason I watched Lois & Clark was for Teri Hatcher!

the only one around in my time was christopher reeve-
but i remember hearing stories of george reeves from my father.
he said he actually liked george better.

i grew up watching christopher reeve movies so obviusly he idealises superman for me,but i suppose george reeves was superman for the previous generation.tom welling is good too,but christopher reeve is the best he made us believee that a man could fly.

Im 38 and grew up in the 70's and 80's watching reruns of Superman starring George Reeves on TV, so his portrayal of superman is the best for me. Christopher Reeve's superman also was during my generation, but for me George Reeves is the sentimental favorite. I even thought George was Christopher's dad!

I like George,too. To me, he will,always be Superman. A great series,too, filled with wonderful plots.
