To begin with, what I want to say is I'm a Chinese. I borned in China, played, studied here for about 18 years. It's apparent that China has a incresing growing rate in both economy and society, in both the urban and the rural. In any aspects, China, to some extent, is in her way to be a strong power among the international nations. As a citizen in China, yes, I'm proud of my country's achievements in recent years. In fact, China could achieve the present ten or more years ago, if there hasn't an event called "Wen Hua Da Ge Min" in 1960-1970's. In media in China, there are a lot of reports and essays about China, which always say something good..... And I want to know your views about China and Chinese. What kind of China is in your mind?

For me China is first of all it's great culture and trafirions. I have lectures about Chinese culture at the university and the lecturer says Chinese culture is so huge and so deep, that not only the eurepeans can't understand it correctly, so are the nations, who had adopted it. I mean Chinese culture is extremely interesting for many people, but there is a problem of perception through the prism of one's own culture. It's a pity we can't understand China as it is, but we can try. China is really a strong power in many aspects. And if other cultures can't assimilate it, Chinese culture assimilates, absorbes and dissolves everything foreign. That's it's great power.

i am chinese myself, and i love my culture. frankly, a lot of the times i want to have been born in china rather than in USA, i wanted to have my culture and language enbeded into me, unlike here where i can only learn it from my parents. i love the country and i wish i could be living there now. can you clear soemthing for me? china is suppose to be a communist nation, but yet, it allows open market and busnisses. is this true?
