It can be tough to determine what kind of situation a dog has come from when he's sitting in the shelter, it's sad really. I've come across some really good tips for evaluating a dog and I would recommend them to anyone who is opening their hearts and homes to a sheltered dog or for anyone working/volunteering in a shelter. There are quite a few tips and facts stated and I don't want to copy and paste it all, so if you'd like to take a look here's the website: Evaluating Shelter Dogs Source: http://www.minpinrescue.org/shelter.htm Did you find these tips to be helpful? Have you ever learned a lot about a dog by doing such tests? Do you think anything else could be added to the test? What about your own dog, did he come from a shelter?
