Filipino network wars: Are you a Kapuso or a Kapamilya?

The Philippines is a country that's best suited for boob tube entertainment because there's so much talent that we can squeeze from this race. So there's very little wonder that an entertainment network war exists between two of the most popular channels in the Philippines: ABSCBN and GMA. Almost equal (If I may assume), these two networks compete in ratings, compete for fresh ideas, compete on current affairs scoop and technically, compete for everything. the Kapamilya's (the ABSCBN tag) say they're the best because more Filipinos watch them, on the other hand, the Kapuso's (GMA tag) say they're the best because they're much more innovative and intelligent. But which one is which?
Well, as far as I'm concerned, they're just equal... How about you?

Me if i have time watching television i prefer to watch abs-cbn but i not saying that gma is that bad. In gma there are also many fresh ideas that you can see that abc-cbn are imitating. Just like there noontime show they always compete with each other but still gma will surpass everything beacause eat bulaga is already a trademark. Watching this two network can ease our tiredness from our whole day work. right?

I prefer watching "ABS-CBN". I love their "tele-seryes". They also have the most number of big stars in the industry today. And also, my favorite artist, Nina, the Philippine's Soul Siren is there. One of the shows that I love there too is "Pinoy Big Brother". Amd also "Maalalala mo kaya". MMK shows really dramatic episodes and they are worth watching even though they aren't about celebrities' life. I don't have anything against GMA-7 but I just like the shows in Channel 2 better. I guess it's just a matter of one's preference.

I always watch them both that is if i dont like the show of the other channel then i transfer it to the other..that is the kapamilya channel...

For me they are not equal. In terms of quality, good acting and production handling I think it goes for the ABS_CBN channel. They are much better. The actors are better than those of GMA. In terms of entertaining I think it goes for GMA. Their programs provide good humor and light entertainment. They are best in Variety Shows and Entertainment Talk Shows.

You're saying that because there are lots of GMA's gag shows everyday. Let's just say if ABS-CBN will have their entertainment/gag shows everyday, we will see who's the best in most entertaining shows. Sorry to say but when i saw their shows, it's really korny, it makes me annoyed or irritate instead laughing out their jokes.

it is good that people have choices even in what they want to watch right? its also like a product, and being a televiewer myself, i find it so cheap for filipinos fighting over who is better.. crab mentality if i may say.
we should be happy that the other produces good shows, if they get bought in other countries, they are recognised as "a Filipino prodcut". They should really stop this fighting and try to produce together (in my dreams) hahaha

I don't like this network war really. I don't choose any of them. For me I value more the quality of each works. I think they should stop this crazy notion and war . It is not getting nowhere but just rift and conflict to our countrymen. I think they should just stop this war and help each other .For that they could both gain my respect.

I don't think GMA is more innovative and intelligent than ABS-CBN, it's the other way around... oopppsss! sorry Kapuso(s) out there, but I'm a big Kapamilya. I'm a loyal Kapamilya since then, I never remembered getting crazy with a GMA show, just don't suit my taste maybe. I don't think I can judge which station is better than the other, because our judgment varies and no channel can please everybody... I say, they're equally good in what they're doing, providing entertainment to millions and millions of Filipinos worldwide...

I definitely say I'm a solid Kapamilya!!! Ever since I and my family watched all the shows in ABS-CBN. Well, I think until now but not that loyal, because we don't like some of their shows. I also like the show in Kapuso but mostly it was a Cartoon, I guess GMA has a good taste in choosing an Anime series.

I am KAPAMILYA! No one can ever beat Kapamilya shows hahaha. Nanguna na ang Trio shows of ABS-CBN everymorning...so that means EatBulaga's rating went down. Aww..hehehe.
Most of the shows of ABS-CBN are really greet, GMA's show like gag shows or variety shows are i think... korny, they want to make the show looks funny, but it's not, it's makes us more irritating. Haha sorry! KAPAMILYA THE BEST!

uhm...i can't choose..sometimes Kapamilya, sometimes Kapuso..i love Kapuso with their jokes...cause you really can't deny you're laughing at their jokes..in Kapamilya..hmm...i like it when they are doing drama..its very good...and Kapuso is good in doing fantasy movies...
