What's good for health? A shower or a tub for bathing?

Of course I love to have shower as compared to a tub or a bucket full of water. But I learn from my friend that this shower is good from health point of view. Why is that?

I think a shower is much better to a degree. I hate baths for one reason. Once you wash & rinse off all the gunk & residue from the sponge etc, you're sitting it in. I take a shower then wash the tup and take a bubble bath a lot. I love a hot soothing soaking bath. I use oils etc even. My son thinks I'm wierd to use the womens stuff in my baths. But dang my skin feels sooo good afterwards. Tee hee hee. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

if we're talking about health, taking the shower would be healthier because if you take a bath in the tub, you are exposing yourself to contaminated water already.

shower bath - Bath to keep clean
Both are good, but tub bath is a luxury which everyone cannot enjoy in developing countries like ours, but shower is something that even averge person can enjoy. In india, villagers take bath in rivers or wells, while in cities people have bathrooms and they can enjoy shower bath. Then comes section of rich people, who have enough money for thier basic necessity of food clothing and shelter and so they can think of having nice big tub with hot and cold water showers and all those richi enjoyments. There are some tubs in which you can have bubble bath, this bath is a kind of massage which helps to reduce the tiredness of the day and gives relaxation to your body. so health wise it is a very comfortable bath, but if you cannot effort it I think shower bath is also an enjoyable bath, after all purpose of taking bath is just to get hygenically clean, and for that you just need clean water. I don't mind how I take bath, it is important that we take bath..........lol

I don't know if there is a difference between the 2 except that a shower takes less time and it is more convenient. :P For health benefit, just shower/bathe with warm water, and then with cold water to aid circulation. That should do the trick! ;-)

I am not sure actually. But i do prefer the shower also than a bathtub. As we don't really have a bath tub. lol And besides, i feel more comfortable whenever i take a shower. I tried having a bath in the tub and it was good but i still like to have a shower with my shower head! lol Have a nice day ahead.

i think perhaps it's because a shower washes away all the dirt from the body whereas in a tub one has to sit in that dirt(yuck) all along after it's removed from the body!! personally i prefer a shower but sometimes when really tired i wish to lie in the tub!:)

a bath can be one of the most enjoyable and refreshing activities of the day for many. an advantage for the individual in taking a tub bath or shower is the sense of independence which is might foster. many people regard a hot shower bath as one of the life's cherished pleasures. showering in water containing chlorine affects our health and it is a proven fact that gases as a rule are less soluble in water and when heated the free chlorine in water escapes into the air we breathe. so, while showering this gas can get into our lungs.but if you have chlorine free water then i must say that you have the luxury to rejuvenate your skin , restore your hair's natural shine and lustre , invigorate yoyr lungs and arrest ageing.Chlorine is generally used as a disinfectant but it is not good and safe in showering. i would again say and love to say that its a boon to those or simply people like me who just love water or love to bath under a shower. Enjoy shower daily. celebrate YOUTHFULNESS and pamper yourself with lifelong glowing skin.
