What has been your favorite freelance writing gig?

My favorite was writing about home decorating on a budget. I did this for several months before the company eventually closed down. My task was to take a before picture, redecorate the room for very little money (but make it look like big bucks), take an after picture and then write 500 or more words about the experience and the process. It was so gratifying because I had a lot of interest in home decroaring, saving money and writing. It was perfect. When they closed, the clips I collected from this job landed me some more work through glossy magazines and I thought that was a bonus. It was a nice way to turn a negative situation into something positive, that's for sure.

My favorite gig so far has been that I ended up getting tapped to write a lot of stuff for my local Golden Dawn lodge. It is nice to be asked to write about a subject that you are passionate about.
