Setting a Guiness World Record

I have wondered for over a year, since my wife was operated on for cancer (http://onemanbandwidth.com/wordpress/?p=87), about a way to raise money for her and 5 of my students also diagnosed with cancer. Here in China as an expat English teacher it is impossible to raise the $45,000 only one of them needs for Herceptin drug treatment. I started thinking about Guinness World Record attempts: Buried Underground? Na, the Chinese government would object...A rubber duck float down the Pearl River? Nope, too polluted and no rubber ducks in China... How about a world record attempt for most linked to blog? I could post articles about recovery, cancer and humanitarian ideas and give the ad monies to the students and my wife's treatment. Hey, a guy on Facebook gathered 99,999 people into his group to win an alleged bet with his professor for a keg...Why not for a good cause??? Ideas?
