Why cant orkut be allowed for under 18's????

According to me if we that is above 18's are able to take advantage of this great website then why aren't under aged allowed????Even they can have a particular share of friends and communities and a few scrappings too.Most of them would use it for leisure and fun.I think if this is not at all possible then orkut can try making divisions like people above 18 and the ones below 18.It can work upon this by asking them to provide their age proof in sum way.example passport number,or etc.what say???

I dont know that orkut is not allowing people with age below 18 years, until u posted this.Yeah, your point is correct.The Age restrictions are quite bad.But it is better to organize communities with adult content not to be viewed by these kids!

I don't have any idea...
I am a member of orkut and i enjoyed to being there...Orkut give me a lot of help including to find my old friends and keep in touch with them...and also to make new friendship..ALso it helped me to promote my website...
So orkut is an important part of me....

Yes you are right, but under 18 must not be allowed because of the explicit content in the site, there are some communities where children are not allowed. And this may be a reason that children get addicted and neglect their studies.
Age proof?? I don't think so everyone can give an age proof to join in orkut.
