loss of greenery

Sometime back, I used to to sit near the kitchen window and ooking out, used to eat my meas. it would be breezy and there was green palms and towering trees. there were colourful chirping birds. I'm not taking about decade old happenings. Till last year, there was greenery near my building. now palms and trees are gone, in their place, big buildings have come up. it's such a pity that even though ours is a small town, we are losing greenery rapidly.
