Does Blingo Actually Work?

Blingo is a website run by Google that supposedly gives out random prizes to people that use it as a search engine. If someone who you reffered wins something, you could possibly win that same reward. Has anyone ever actually won anything or known anyone who has? I've been a member now for about a yea and haven't won anything. I'm begginging to wonder if this is just another scam.
