People marry in order to have a family of their own. God before saw Adam that he was not happy being alone and so God created Eve and God blessed them and commanded them to grow and multiply and fill the earth and so from them, the earth is now full of people. God also says that two heads are better than one.

So that you will have a companion and you may build your own family and undergo and complete the cycle of life.
