Tips Needed for Washing

I'm used to throwing all of my colored clothes together in the cycle and up until now I haven't had any problems. Not I keep getting fuzz on my dark clothing. The washer I have is suppose to eliminate this problem. Is this a problem with the washer or how I wash clothes?
