Does it seem like your church is asking for more and more of your income?

It seems like we are being asked for quite a bit lately --one fundraiser after another, until it's almost a constant barrage. The more I'm pushed, the less I feel like giving... anyone else feel the same way?

Here's a thought. simply stop giving. Give your 10% and then stop at that. churches should not be having fundraisers. Thats what that tithing is all about. If your church is having financial problems, perhaps there is some mismanagement going on, and you and a few others need to be looking into the books.

Perhaps your preacher needs to go out and get a part time job, instead of dipping into church funds, or maybe just start living like he is poor, which he is supposed to be.

You're right, the 10% should take care of it all --then we could concentrate on worship, not fundraisers.

i do think its more than they need,, poverty is how they are suppose to live,, remember its in their vows... i don't think we need big fancy churches to pray in.
