I wanna know a little about the history of different countries. So let's start with heroes. Who's the national hero in your country? Give a little background about him/her and it would be better if you can attach photo. Here in the Philippines our national hero is Dr. Jose P. Rizal. We celebrate Rizal Day during December 30, his date of death(1896), this day is considered as National Holiday. He was born June 19, 1861. He is the most prominent advocate for reform in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. He is a writer and hi two most popular works are the two novels, Noli Me Tangere (Touch Me Not) and El Filibustero (The Filibuster). These novels are social commentaries on the Philippines which led to the Revolution against the 333 years of Spanish rule. Rizal is a martyr and was executed by the Spaniards on 1896.
