Internet Explorer 7: do you find it annoying?

There are some good features about Internet Explorer 7, like the tabs system: once I got used to it I find it works okay. But what annoys me about these updates is that the makers can never leave things in the same place! I have to go searching for the page refresh button every time, and the stop loading button. The favourites have moved completely, and there's a lot more room taken up at the top by the various toolbars, when in fact they could be mostly included in one or two lines. You wonder if IE8 won't have so much stuff in the framing that there'll be almost no page to see!

I've been using firefox for so long now, I haven't really even tried IE7. I was sort of turned off IE, when I read that they couldn't add tabbed browsing to IE6. Problem is there were a number of free third party add-ons you could get for IE6 that added tabbed browsing; Microsoft was just too lazy to do it themselves. Makes you wonder what else they are too lazy or incapable of doing. Since then I've never been an IE fan...

I used Firefox for a while but it caused some issues on the particular computer I had at work, and so I went back to IE. I need to give it another try and a huge number of people obviously prefer it.

Yes, my wife had a similar experience with her work computer. In the end she had to get my geek son to come and remove IE7 because it wouldn't let her use part of the normal program!

It took a second for me to get used to, mostly because of the stop button. I always use F5 to refresh anyway so that wasn't a big deal. I still use Firefox more often but I have played around with IE7 and I'm pretty much indifferent about it. As long as it's secure, that's all I care about.

A 'second'?? You did well! :) I didn't realise the F5 button refreshed. Have to remember that. I always prefer to use keyboard shortcuts to using the mouse.

As the master of the vacuum cleaners of this world, I have to say that if YOU say Firefox is good, it must be! :) I will get back to it, as soon as the pace of life quietens down a bit. (Around 2010, at this rate).
