This one is pretty straightforward. From a Biblical perspective, is baptism essential for salvation? You must include Scripture in your answer for it to be valid.

All of us are sinners and short of the glory of God. Sin separates man from God and so we cannot be with God because God is holy and we are unholy or sinners. The Lord Jesus Christ said I'm the way the truth and the life; no one goes to the Father except through Me. We are sinners and unholy and so if we want to be with God, we have to study the Holy Bible and if we are already taught of God and we agree to the conditions, we have to be baptized into Christ to become a child of God and be with God. These are all in the Holy Bible. One is Mark 16:16.

Yes, baptism is essential for salvation. That is if you believe in God and the Holy Bible as the Word of God and is the truth. Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:16, and some other verses in the Holy Bible requires baptism.

According to Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciple of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey EVERYHING I commanded you...." It is thru teachings and baptism one can be converted as disciple of Christ. And logically speaking, do you think Christ will command us something not essential to salvation?

based on what ive learned, there are two kinds of baptism, the baptism in water and the holy spirit. i think what you are only referring is the baptism in water. baptism in water based on christian faith is the declaration of being christ disciple. during new testaments, they are baptising people in streams or river, and many are watching them some were persecutors and other are roman soldiers. mind you, just to step in water will already means that you are tagged as what jesus was persecuted. anyway it a public declaration of your faith so to connect it with your salvation, i think its two different thing. i may say that they are both important but to be saved bacause you are baptized i think is not enough. salvation is a gift, baptism is our part, you can be saved without baptism coz salvation is the acceptance that christ is your lord and savior.

Okay, you sorta contradicted yourself. You said that salvation is a gift, and that baptism is our part, but then you said that salvation is the acceptance that Christ is your Lord and Saviour. It can't be a gift and something we do. It's always something that we receive, right? So it can't be a gift and something we do (i.e. the act of acceptance). Which one does Scripture say it is? Good point about the persecution of Christians back in the Apostles' time. But I think a lot of people don't think about how Christians are still persecuted, even killed, today (Nigeria comes to mind).

why must scripture be included? Some might not believe in everything Scripture says but may still have some good arguements as to why or why not they believe it's valid.

Scripture (bible) must be included because it's a thing mentioned specifically by the bible, thus, issues arising this (baptism) must confide with the bible. Example, solve f(x)=2x+8. Obviously, we must solve it based on the principle of mathematics. We shall solve it thru genetics, or business law. Another example: which is better Bible or Quran? Muslims will definite say Quran and Christians, bible. Both examples above is like playing boxing where players have their own ring rings. No one could actually win. No resolution can be achieve.
