What do you do to get referrals?

I'm still pretty new at getting referrals for the different programs I'm in. I was wondering if anybody had some suggestions or hints on how to acquire more referrals. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think just inform it personally to your friends, and try to participate in other forums to get more referrals.

I promote it on my money site and my myspace groups. I only have 8 referalls and they are not active so I'm not an expert or anything.

I don't have tons of referrals, but I did get a few active ones by talking with friends and telling them the benefits of trying things such as mylot.
