There is nothing wrong with either ABBA or old school Michael Jackson (Thriller is still one of my fave records)... I will admit that I used to be a big pop head, still am to a certain degree. Especially when it comes to 80's music. I mean, people like Rick Anstley, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Wham!, Alphaville, A Ha!, Devo, Duran Duran... it's not embarrassing necessarily, I just know that it's rare for people to listen to that anymore.

I have to admit I love Abba as well. I was at their concert about 30 years ago, I still have the concert book from it! Not sure about Michael Jackson though there isn't too much of his music that I like.

Forgive me, but I can be known to break into songs by Ace of Base or Garth Brooks.

Okokok - just dont make me scream here i am so embarrassed! I listen to Backstreet Boys and i love Weird Al and Gipsy Kings. Please do not tell anyone i know. Abba i grew up with. My aunties thaught me their lyrics by heart, I was six years old and could sing any of their songs. Nice memory. But Abba is not embarrasing! They are, or were HUGE! In the beginning of the nineties they flamed up again, i remember the busdriver (that drove me and friends to school) always put the collection of their best songs on. And he and we would sing along. Fernando kept bringing tears to my eyes. Michael Jackson - Black and White - i love that song! Im rambling on, im sorry.

I like ABBA & some old Michael as well... I am not ashamed to admit I listen to anything. I feel I am musically cultural and I listen to just about everything. There's not any group or person in particular I would say I am embarassed to listen to. i roll my windows down, pop in my Grease soundtrack and belt them out, I don't care who laughs. I enjoy music !!!

Why would you be embarassed to admit that you listen to Michael Jackson (?), i'm a true admirer of his music and i would never hide that. He was a true musical genius! I'm not embarassed of admiting that i listen to any kind of music that i like, regardless the style, culture, language, etc

Good songs never die. However there is an amazing number of rubbish songs in between that die without trace after a week or a month. When you go to a wedding or a village dance what do they play? A bit of the latest tracks, ok, but then into the golden oldies and the whole place erupts right across the age spectrum because the music is enjoyable! Have you seen the stage show Mama Mia? Pure ABBA and packing them in every night for years around the world. Brilliant.

You're not alone xenatessmcker, I love ABBA too and some songs of Micheal Jackson. I don't like to admit this but I like Buddy Holly. My mom used to listen to his music when I was young...now i still like it as it reminds me of her.
