Saving Money

Yes. I have my paycheck directly deposited into my savings account. Then I transfer out only enough to cover my bills for the month plus a little "fun money." About $40 for treating myself to a lunch out or a movie, something non-essential. I have been doing this since I got my own apartment and once I got the routine down I stuck to the same spending habits even though my income went up. I ended up leaving more and more "leftover" money in my savings account because I would just pretend it wasn't there. I own a house now, and my cost of living has gone up some in the last 8 years, but I still manage to put away a few hundred dollars every month.

I try my best to save money but most of the time it doesnt work out for me... how much do you save?
