Is this real? I mean, does it really happen to couples?

There are some relationships that are affected if the wife earns more than what the husbands earn. I guess it is the male ego that prevails here because husbands should have been the real bread winner in the family. Nowadays, it doesn't hold true because marriage is a partnership, and wife and husband must share in the earnings of the family. Whether the wife earns more or not, doesn't matter, as long as the couple understand each other, has respect for each other and truly love one another.

If it is ego, then it is innate in every men no matter the place or time. Maybe it is still true now but men now learn to compromise more.

Hmm.. I can't find any reason to debate about the difference, but some couples do. The most important is the sum of all income. This differing thing can make a divorce, and I don't want that.
