Fatigue

Licorice
Take 150 to 200 milligrams a day in capsule form. Many people with fatigue don't produce enough adrenal hormone, and licorice root is the closest herbal equivalent to that hormone that you can get. Look for a product that is standardized to contain 12 percent licorice root to ensure that you're taking a safe dose. Licorice root can raise blood pressure, which is why you shouldn't take it in large doses.
GINGER:
Drink a cup or two of tea a day. Ginger effectively increases energy, perhaps by stimulating the immune system.
It may be that if your immune system is functioning at full efficiency, your body doesn't have to siphon off as much energy to constantly battle illness.
To make ginger tea, grate 1 teaspoon of fresh root, pour 1 cup of boiling water over it, and steep for 5 minutes. Strain the tea and drink it when it's comfortably warm.

Oh this is great I have not heard of licorice doing this I did hear that it was very good for you but how I was not sure, Oh I did not know that it can raise your blood pressue so I would not take it. I do not like ginger to drink it and so I only use a little bit of this in my cooking. My husband does though he loves ginger.

Hi Spiritwolf, it is tru about the licorice. And, if you are on meds for high blood pressure, we must be careful not to take too much. Thank you for the ginger drink receipe. I have given you another + rating for your posting. They will help. Thanks dear for the info.

Thank you for the information, I hope this doesn't sound stupid but when you say liquorice is it the liquorice candy sticks or allsorts you get as sold as sweets? I do suffer with fatigue. Sorry if I sound daft but does it apply to any liquorice. We use a lot of ginger when cooking.

I usually drink the ginger tea. Both these methods work for me. There are other herbs/teas that could help you. Gotu Kola--take 60 to 100 milligrams in capsule form each day. This contains no caffeine. Gotu kola may help lift your spirits, since fatigue can lead to depression.

sounds interesting. I don't know if I am going to try it though. Do you try these things yourself?
