work !

some times donkey work is better than using any other kind of tools like dreamweaver , web builder or frontpage. because each of the software has its own limitations how ever easy and fast they are.Some times those tools dont provide option to edit the automatically generated code.hence prefer to write down ur entire website

I prefer the donkey work because it is much easier to modify and also helps me to practice my programming skills. I think dreamweaver is for non programmers, they created this so that all people could make websites easily.

I do the donkey work also. I have my eidtor on my computer and I design and redesgin all the time. I actually like doing it. I also like to know how and why things do what they do and if you only rely on software then you won't know those answers. I like the freedom I have by doing it myself also. there is only so much you can do with software.

... and what about other techniques? I guess you talk about pure html! What about css, JavaScript, php you are also using notepad or other simple tool like that to generate code - hard to imagine

For the layout of my site, Dreamweaver and Frontpage help a lot, but for the coding i have to do Donkey work. right now im working on my own little portfolio at www.darknesfallz.com. I dunno when it will be up as i am learning AJAX.
