I can't speak for anyone else; but I always rate the discussions I answer to. And those that reply to mine. I have only been a member for three days and am unsure that I have understood it correctly. I rate a plus for all well thought out posts. One word answerable ones I tend to not rate if I answer them. And I am yet to rate minus as I have not come against a postthat has been rude or offended me in any way. I hope people rate me the same!

most of the starters are giving the + sign for the responders.but as we cant see them or know them wheather we have been rated we are thinking that we are not rated +ve.it should be listed just like the best response. Not only +ve but also -ve rating so that it will help us to respond efffectively.

Unfortunatly some poeple think they have to give - if they don't agree with your post. Really annoying :-(

I suppose, most of us are rating the discussions, and the responses too. I always rate the discussion I'm responding, and I give it a +. If a discussion is worth responding, it's worth a + also.

I didn't realize the rating stuff out to the side until today. I just rated everyone that responded to my discussions I have started. Are you supposed to rate on post you don't start?
