I was wondering if now, in our current day life, men still prefer stick thin women, or if they are leaning towards bootylicious types. I have seen a trend in women claiming to be "bootylicious", but how do the men feel about it? And women, do you think this is a new trend of younger generations coming to terms with their bodies?

While I loathe the term "bootylicious," I've never really been particularly attracted to the stick-thin body type. I'm a fairly big guy (over 6ft, 250lbs+), so I'd always be really afraid of breaking a small girl like that. I prefer my women to have some curves to them.

I use the term loosely as well. It is just a way to say something without being overly crude. My husband is very large as well almost exactly like you, 6'1" 248lbs, so he always says he would break those girls too...lol.

It's an individual thing..some guys like someone in between. Like me lol. I'm a tiny thing but I have some curves which are probably okay..and I am pretty much the only person who looks like me. I've never had a shortage of anyone flirting or hitting on me. Though me being the messed up..er, I mean silly duckling I am this actually has done nada to help my self confidence lol. I always figure they're probably jerks *laughs* Attraction varies, psychology tells us it also developes all through childhood as the male or female grows through..though only fully kicks in once they hit their teens..and that's usually the extreme end of their attraction which usually tones down by time they hit full maturity. I have no idea what kids'll do about the new trend..as long as they don't starve themselves or over-eat I'm all for it. Whatever, you know? Go ahead kids..have fun lol.

I think that is one thing that may be getting better. Girls now a days seem to feel better about themselves than before.

booty - ghetto booty
I've always had a big butt but been quiete slim everywhere else. I used to feel really self-conscious and fat but now its great- I get loads of attention from men! lol. There defintely has been a change in body perception. I think its due to partly the rejection of the idea that we all have to be stick thin, the popularity of 'bootylicious' celebrities such as Beyonce and J.Lo and also the growth of hiphop music. In these songs rappers always go on about how they like a curvacious woman and there videos always contain this kind of girl.

I have to give alot of credit to the industries that are making it possible for girls/women to feel better about themselves instead of just allowing the Paris Hilton's, Nicole Richie's, and other stick women to be the ONLY celebrities we see.
