How did your dog get it's name?

I have this puppy that the kids named "sissy" she is cutest little thing I have ever seen. But, when ever she runs now the hall, her legs going every which we, we sing "DUNE, DEDUNE,DEDUNE. Now she thinks her name is DUNE,DEDUNE,DEDUNE. Is that funny or what?

My daughter named our Weimaraner Cody when we first got him but that didn't last long. I started taking pictures of him and when my daughter saw the pictures she couldn't believe how much he looked like Dobby The House Elf from the second Harry Potter movie. So he was registered with AKC as Dobby The House Dog his official name!

My hounds are called Voden ( after the norse god that led the hellhounds out nightly on the spirit hunt, who later evolved into Odin the allfather )and Macha ( after the celtic goddess of war and the hunt ). Kind of a hunting theme thats well deserved, they'll run a heard of deer right to me. You can see pics of them on my profile.

We have two dogs a male and a female the kids named then Dixie and Rebel. We think is must be a southern thing since we live in western Kentucky.
