How does this photo thing work?

So, I´m curious, how do we earn on photos? I have posted several, but I notice that everytime I open an interest, there are different photos at the top. Do they rotate them, or are these all new? Do we have to get rated on our photos.

we get paid about 2 cents a picture i think... i cant quite remember but yes the newer pictures are shown at the top above all the discussions but there are many pictures in the list...
