Do you guys feel that the warnings on cigarette packages are actually affective? What are some of the warnings that stick out in your mind, why do you think those stick? For me it would have to be the one regarding lung cancer beacuse I've lost relatives to lung cancer. Can you think of any other possible warnings that could be affective on the packs?

I don't smoke but I am sure that there's a lot of people just don't read it or don't care.

They don't make a bit of difference to me. In fact I dont even notice them anymore.

For me the warnings stick because I can see the effects that 2nd hand smoke has had on me. I have chronic asthma now and my doctors have told both my mother and I that it is directly related to her smoking. But yet she still will not quit. I think that its a select few who actually pay attention to the warnings though. I know many smokers who KNOW what the terrible effects of smoking are on the body, and yet they're not willing to even try to quit. They don't care that they're hurting themselves or people around them, they just know they don't want to have to go through the troubles of quitting. Now I know that some people find it impossible to quit, but never trying in the first place doesn't make it impossible.

the warnings are so small on those packages!! Do they honestly think people actually stop and read those things?? The new commercials about it on TV I think have a great deal of effectiveness.
