Thankful complaints

I am thankful... For the husband who complains when his meal is not on time, because he is home with me and not with someone else. For the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes, because that means he is at home and not on the streets. For the mess to clean after a party because it means that i have been surrounded by friends. For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means i have enough to eat. For my shadow that watches me work, because it means i am in the sunshine. For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means i have a home. For all the complaining i hear about the government, because it means that we have freedom of speech. For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means i am capable of walking and that i have been blessed with transportation. For my huge heating bill, because it means i am warm. For the lady behind me in church that sings off key because it means that i can hear. For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means i have clothes to wear. For weariness and aching muscles at the end os the day because it means i have been capable of working hard. and finally for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that i am alive. some people dont realize that they have been blessed in lots of ways. what about you, what are the things you are thankful for today?

you're welcome. I know a friend who just had shopping. he bought new shoes and complained about it...til he got out of the mall and saw a beggar and he had no legs. he felt sorry for complaining abt the shoe when some people doesnt even have feet to put shoes on. I would always tell my son to finish his food because a lot of kids in the streets are hungry and has nothing to eat. he'd also complain about not getting the toys he want when he already have a lot of expensive toys. id tell him that most kids doesnt even have toys to play with and most of them would just make toys out of garbage and still be happy for that. I'd like my child to grow up to be thankful for these small things coz even if we are having a hard time in life right now, i can say we are still blessed.

First, I am thankful that people like you remind us all to slow down and consider how good we really have things. That being said, I am thankful for a husband that loves me for me. I am thankful for a career I love that lets me help children become better people. I am thankful for my family members and that they continue to make it through illnesses and financial hardships when times are tough. Thanks again...this was very nice !

I suppose any attention is better than none at all. At least you know you are needed. I think appreciating the ups and downs in life is an admirable quality. It is much better than complaining about everything.
