Have you ever felt prolonged anger and have been keeping it inside till it feels like its going to explode anytime now? How does one handle anger and let it go? I have been feeling angry for a lot of reasons and I cannot seem to let it go. I have tried many things from exercising to psyching myself but I still have outburts once in awhile. I have tried confronting the issues that I have been facing and keeping it inside but to no avail. Can anyone comment and give good advise? Sometimes I feel that I am going nuts. Thanks all.

I use to have an anger management issue to the point where I took a hockey stick to a TV(my favorite NHL team lost) and was a poor sportsman while growing up.These anger issues always led me to believe I could snap at some time and possibly hurt someone.I took a few anger management courses, learned how to share and talk with people(still need practise at that) and to practise breathing techniques to control it.I found anger is often a sign of frustration.I therefore have removed myself from those situations.I rarely watch sports anymore and have found other hobbies to keep me busy.Even being on the computer is good therapy(as long as it does not run your life).

You are probably just a guy. For some reason, I hold all my feelings in until they become too much for me and I get stressed out. I rarely confront the source of the problem which would make life so much easier (and I would probably have more hair.)
